Chatterbox communications final logo design

I was really chuffed when an old colleague, Sally Glarvey contacted me to rebrand her new communications company – Chatterbox Communications (aptly named!!)

We talked for a while about what kind of logo she felt would represent her well, and we decided it shouldn’t be too corporate and should reflect her bubbly personality…

Here’s a sneak peek of how I start designing a logo… After I do some research into competitors and scribble a few concepts into my trusty notepad I start off with a blank canvas in Adobe Illustrator and play around with fonts and colours until logos start coming together. Once I have a few options that I’m happy to present I produce a logobook of the best options for the client to mull over and decide which one/s they’d like to see revisions of… In this case Sally loved the top left version of this logo but wanted to see other colour options and fonts.

I eventually chose a squarer, bolder font to reflect the ‘box’ in chatterbox, and also rounded the edges of the box speech bubble to make it stand out and appear more friendly – Sally loved it – sold!

Onto the business cards… To soften these cards and break away from the ‘norm’ we decided to print rounded cornered business cards – these work well for Chatterbox Communications as they subtly draw attention to the soft detail in the logo mark.

All in all a great project to work on – thanks Sally 🙂 x
